Stop and Enjoy the View

Sometimes the best stops are the unplanned ones.

We dipped our feet in the cold water flowing from the Rockies while the hot summer sun shone down on us. For a few brief moments, the noise of the world was gone and the notes of the water and the wind in the trees were the only sounds we heard.

"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it." - Ferris Bueller.

  1. You are so right. I used to spend so much time at a job that life went by in a blur. Things are different now. Unplanned moments are often the best.

  2. Life moves way too fast. Stopping sometimes to just be in the moment is a good thing.

  3. That looks like a nice spot for a break. Stopping to enjoy the view rates for me. Lately though, due to the high temperatures and smoke-filled air I haven't been out and about as much as I'd like. Hopefully it'll cool off and clear up soon.
