A Foggy Day in Sylvan Town

Morning Fog
I took these photos on September 22nd (except the top photo). Hard to believe this was the First Day of Fall. Welcome to Alberta.

Not much else to say here, the fog and mist over the lake caught my eye so I stopped for some photos. The water level has gone down considerably at the lake, so I was able to walk/run along the sand bars as I tried to stir up the seagulls for what I was picturing in my mind as a REALLY COOL PHOTO. Instead the lazy gulls just flapped over to a new spot without gaining much height. I also probably looked like a crazy person. Maybe I needed an umbrella...

Not Iceland.

  1. Brrr! If I were a gull I'd have flown much further - like several hundred miles due south!

    1. Hi Bill, I like the fog too. Except it was very thick a couple mornings on my way to work which isn't as much fun as viewing it on the lake.

  6. Very moody shots! They're quite dramatic.

    1. Thanks! I liked the mood that day, there was no around the lakeshore which is rare.
LOL the only quote that came to my mind was, 'we named the dog Indiana.'

    2. "The dog? You were named after the dog?"

"I've got a lot of fond memories of that dog."

  7. Beautiful misty images Jenn, I see you did get those lazy seagulls to lift off in some of the shots. What happened to your autumn?

  9. "Looked like a crazy person...?" I can't remember a day in the recent past where I haven't looked like a crazy person at least at some point during the day! It's refreshing to be a little crazy each and every day.

    Have a good Thanksgiving weekend!
