Morning Fog |
I took these photos on September 22nd (except the top photo). Hard to believe this was the First Day of Fall. Welcome to Alberta.
Not much else to say here, the fog and mist over the lake caught my eye so I stopped for some photos. The water level has gone down considerably at the lake, so I was able to walk/run along the sand bars as I tried to stir up the seagulls for what I was picturing in my mind as a REALLY COOL PHOTO. Instead the lazy gulls just flapped over to a new spot without gaining much height. I also probably looked like a crazy person. Maybe I needed an umbrella...

Not Iceland. |
Brrr! If I were a gull I'd have flown much further - like several hundred miles due south!
ReplyDeleteLOL silly gulls. Not sure how they survive the cold and lack of tourists feeding them....haha
DeleteHard to imagine a little while back you were posting photos of you actually on the lake and in the water!!! Those are beautiful photos though!
ReplyDeleteHi Rain! Next will be ice skating photos on the lake....like next week..haha
DeleteThe scenes looks cold but I love the foggy atmosphere! Nice captures, Jenn.
ReplyDeleteHi Bill, I like the fog too. Except it was very thick a couple mornings on my way to work which isn't as much fun as viewing it on the lake.
DeleteI hope you get a bit of a warm-up before winter really sets in!
ReplyDeleteHi RedPat, crossing all my fingers!!
Delete...'Morning Fog' is gorgeous! I'm not quit read for 'Iceland.'
ReplyDeleteThanks Tom, I couldn't resist stopping for the morning fog photo...even if I was a few minutes late for work.
DeleteVery moody shots! They're quite dramatic.
ReplyDelete"I suddenly remembered my Charlemagne. 'Let my armies be the rocks and the trees and the birds in the sky'."
Thanks! I liked the mood that day, there was no around the lakeshore which is rare.
DeleteLOL the only quote that came to my mind was, 'we named the dog Indiana.'
"The dog? You were named after the dog?"
Delete"I've got a lot of fond memories of that dog."
YES!!!!
DeleteNice photos
ReplyDeleteThanks Adam!
DeleteBeautiful misty images Jenn, I see you did get those lazy seagulls to lift off in some of the shots. What happened to your autumn?
ReplyDeleteThanks PDP! Exactly we have all been asking lol, we had a few days that seemed like autumn, I love autumn too! My hometown received record snowfall a couple days ago.
DeleteBeautiful shots, Jenn. So Winter has started again!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments on my blog :)
Hi Marleen, winter has started early! Thanks for stopping by!
Delete"Looked like a crazy person...?" I can't remember a day in the recent past where I haven't looked like a crazy person at least at some point during the day! It's refreshing to be a little crazy each and every day.
ReplyDeleteHave a good Thanksgiving weekend!
LOL a bit of crazy is ok!! Normal 24/7 is boring. Happy Thanksgiving Michael!
DeleteGreat pictures! I love how the beach looks when it's foggy.
