Lilac season is almost over here. I love the splash of colours that you can find almost anywhere you go during this time of year. What I don't love is their smell. Next up...canola season.
Hi Tom, our skies have cleared up significantly, we had some really smoky days but it appears to have all headed east. Anyone I knew that was evacuated has been able to go home safely.
...lilac fragrance is a bit heavy for me. We are smoking here, they say from the Alberta and Nova Scotia fires. How are you doing?

DeleteAlways like to see West of the Fifth on my list. There were lots of lilacs this year. Now I'm looking for lady slippers.
ReplyDeleteThanks Red! Both those images are in Rimbey. I will have to watch for lady slippers too.
DeleteI love the scent of lilacs! One of my faves!
ReplyDeleteThere is definitely one that is more pleasant than the other, as a kid we had a 'stinky' lilac bush lol
DeleteOurs are gone, they don't last long.
ReplyDeleteThe cherry blossoms time is my fave, also gone too quickly.
DeleteI feel like the lilacs, though brief, last longer than the tulips.
ReplyDeleteI love the aroma of lilacs.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what it is about them...beautiful though!!
